Andrew Erickson

Andrew Erickson is a Winnipeg born guitarist, and student of Richard Tyborowski and Michael Daher. His past teachers have also included Randy Haley, Ric Shulz, and James Hickerson. During Andrew's years of study as a music-educaiton student at the University of Manitoba's Marcel A. Deautels Faculty of Music, he has had the privilege of attending master-classes with artists such as Jerome Ducharme, Marcin Dylla, Daniel Bolshoy, and Jeremy Jouve.
Andrew's recent accomplishments have included: recommendations to the National Music Festival for the past three years, where he was awarded third place in 2008; the 2008 winner of the Winnipeg Music Festival Len Hew trophy and Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society scholarship; and a semi-finalist for the 2008 Woman's Musical Club Doris McLellan Scholarship Competition.
Last March of 2009, Andrew made his professional debut performance, hosted by the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society. Andrew is very grateful for this opportunity to perform again, and thanks the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society for their continued support.
