Rodrigo Muñoz studied classical guitar at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Music under professor Harold Micay. He has released two classical guitar CD's which contain both original compositions and classical guitar favourites as well as two more CD's as the leader of the popular latin group PAPA MAMBO. Rodrigo performs frequently in Winnipeg collaborating with many artists including Juno award winner Jane Bunnett, Grammy award winner Luis Quintana "Changuito", Erika Donald, Juno award winner Hilario Duran, Victor Lopez, Skender Sefa, Steve Kirby, Jeff Presslaff, Ken Gold, David Lawton, Gilles Fournier, Will Bonness, Marcelo Hinojosa, Hyalmar Gonzalez, Jaime Carrasco, Stefan Bauer, Larry Roy, Mira Black, and Hector Valenzuela. Recent performance highlights include performances with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Manitoba Opera Association, the University of Winnipeg's prestigious Virtuosi Concert Series, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, the Winnipeg Art Gallery Jazz on the Rooftop Series, and the Winnipeg Jazz Festival. Rodrigo is on faculty at the Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts.
