When classical guitarist Ryszard Tyborowski and classical/jazz bassist Nenad Zdjelar began experimenting with variety of musical genres in concert, audiences asked for more. After a recording project for Summit records in 2005, Synergy duo was born.
Both Ryzard and Nenad have had rich musical careers and produced numerous recordings. Ryszard Tyborowski received his Master of Music Performance Degree from the Faculty of Music in Wroclaw, Poland and his education certificate from the Technical Institute of the Pedagogical School in Zielona Gora, Poland. Following his formal education, Richard studied with renown European guitarists Costas Cotsiolis, Vangelis Budunis, and Jerry Koenig. Ryszard was awarded with grants and scholarships in recognition of his musicianship.
Ryszard has performed numerous recitals in Canada and Europe. Recent highlights include performances with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Belgrade Symphony Orchestra, the U of W's Virtuosi Concert Series, the Winnipeg Classical Guitar Society, and a concert tour of Northern Canada.

Nenad Zdjelar completed his studies Contrabass (Double Bass) Performance from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia. As a student, he was a member of the Academy Symphony Orchestra and between the years 1991 and 1998, Nenad was a member of the Orchestra of the National Theatre of Yugoslavia in the Belgrade Opera House. However, in parallel with his classical career, Nenad was always active in other various genres of music. When he came to Canada, Nenad continued his musical career, collaborating with Canadian musicians and orchestras, and appeared in numerous recordings including the Stony Plain production. Among other pursuits, Nenad has performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, in Broadway musicals, at the Montreal Jazz Festival and numerous other festivals across the country. As a member of Paris to Kyiv ensemble, he toured Europe and the United States representing Canadian music. His trio CD recording Pearls and Yarn was released by American record Label Summit Records and he also is a featured performer on a soon to be released chamber music CD titled Sefarad on the Marquis Records Label which features music by renown local composer Sid Robinovitch. In 2009, his Synergy Duo will release their first CD on the GFI Masterworks label.
